Raffiza is not my name, but a cute and different nickname a close friend  gave me a long time ago.  I’m now reviving it at my social media accounts. My real name is Rafaela  and was born and raised in the exuberant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. brazil, flag, country-4875000.jpg

The Story Behind My Alô Alô Português Course

I started teaching languages at Brazilian language schools where I used to teach children, teenagers, and young adults. At the beginning of my career, I was focused on explaining well and making sure my students could produce language efficiently. Later on, I started teaching English and Spanish to adults only and Portuguese to expatriates and I started having a further understanding of the impact that learning had on my students’ personal and professional lives.

Within time and a lot of practice, I found myself truly captivated by developing and redeveloping personalized learning strategies so that my students would not only produce language efficiently but also connect to people, broaden their horizons, boost their confidence, and enrich their lives in countless ways.

This transformative insight brought me lots of new happy students and inspired me to be reachable to more people, with their own single histories, their own cultural backgrounds, and their own single needs. So I created Alô Alô Português and that is why I’m here now! smiley, emoticon, happy-1635451.jpg
